Barton College representative will be on campus on Monday, February 20th to meet with interested Juniors or Seniors. Juniors can attend information session and Seniors can apply on site and receive an immediate admissions decision. Sign up ASAP in Student Services. 2/17


The National College Fair will be held in Raleigh on Tuesday, March 14th from 4:30-7:30 pm at the Raleigh Convention Center. Hundreds of college representatives will be available to answer questions and share information. Student should pre-register. More information available in Student Services. 2/17


Juniors & Seniors: Want to get trained and get to work? Not all careers require a two-year or four-year degree. The Career in a Year Showcase at Johnston Community College will be held March 21 at 6:00 pm. Learn how JCC can help you land a good-paying career in business, biotechnology, healthcare, HVAC, machining, welding, information technology, cosmetology, education, public safety and many other professions in a year or less! Stop by Student Services to pick up more information about this event. 2/17


To learn more about Career and College Promise in Johnston County, make plans to attend the CCP EXPO and Pathways Fair on Thursday, February 23 at the Johnston Community College Auditorium from 6:00 - 8:00 pm. In the lobby from 6:00 - 7:15 pm, each pathway will have a booth with specific information about that pathway and the careers for that pathway. Instructors will be available to answer any questions you have about their programs and their classes. At  7:15, a presentation will take place in the auditorium with general information about Career and College Promise with a question and answer time for parents and students to follow.College classes will begin in the fall so attend now. The event is open to the public and is geared toward middle school and high school students and their families. We look forward to seeing you at the CCP Expo on Thursday, February 23rd! 2/22

The Johnston County Y will be at both lunch periods on Monday, 2/20 to promote summer camp hiring and volunteer opportunities. Stop by their table during your lunch period for more information. 2/20


Come see eight talented young ladies compete for the title of Miss Cleveland at the 5th Miss Cleveland Pageant on Saturday, February 25th at 7 pm in the auditorium. Tickets are $8 in advance and will be sold February 20th-24th at lunch in the cafeteria. Tickets are $10 at the door. The contestants this year are: Kendra Ebach, Sydney Riggs, Katelyn Plato, Christian Mitchell, Ashley Bain, Tiffany Robertson, Madison Ingle and Erin Hurley. They have a variety of talent including dance, vocals, keyboard and monologue! Come out and support the next Miss Cleveland! 2/24

The Institute for Future Ag. Leaders (IFAL) is a week-long program for rising high school seniors interested in the industry of agriculture. Emphasis is placed on: career opportunities, emerging technology, citizenship and leadership development. The cost is free. Stop by Student Services for an application and more information. 2/17


Lost & Found: There are numerous items in the Front Office Lost & Found such as lunch boxes, coats, backpacks, shoes, etc. If these items are not claimed by Friday, February 17th they will be donated to Goodwill. 2/17
